Croft Top
ALL YEAR ROUND
At the centre of Croft Top Equestrian Centre's outdoor classroom sits an impressive 4.4m high, rearing stone carved horse created by sculptor Graeme Mitcheson. The sculpture was commisioned by us as part of the outdoor classroom project which was developed by Holcombe Pony Club and the equestrian centre in partnership with Lancashire County Council's Environmental Projects Team, ourselves, Groundwork Pennine Lancashire and Lancashire Environmental Fund.
The project also included volunteers carrying out planting and grass seeding at the new facility which overlooks the A56 bypass. Dry stone walling and fencing workshops also took place in order to complete the unique outdoor space.
Croft Top Equestrian Centre is based in Stonefold Village, Rossendale, Lancashire.
