Oswaldtwistle

On a hot day in summer 2006, Gayle Knight and photographer John Brandwood, walked the length and breadth of Union Road, Oswaldtwistle talking to the shopkeepers.  They photographed over 50 business owners either inside their shop at work or proudly outside their shop.

The resulting photographs were displayed in Oswaldtwistle Mills in September for a week and then transfered to the Architruck which was parked in the centre of Oswaldtwistle for one day.  To accompany this project, a new drama piece was commissioned and performed by Oswaldtwistle Players.

This strand of the Talking Shop project was funded by Awards For All and was managed by Oswaldtwistle Players.
