Radical Mayhem explored the work and legacy of Welfare State International - a collective of radical artists, musicians and performers who pioneered the idea of 'site-specific' multi-media theatre and continued to develop alternative models of participative art in Britain from 1968 to 2006. Emerging from the radical politics and cultural ferment of the Sixties their ambitious events, performances and installations attracted international acclaim.
